MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE & SUB-COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED!
YOUR CHILDREN NEED YOUR HELP!

Dear Members,
As many of you know, our swimming club relies heavily on volunteers to keep things running. At our upcoming AGM to be held Wed August 20th, we are losing three of our dedicated committee members as their swimmers move on to pursue other activities. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions, but their departure leaves significant gaps we must fill.
To continue running the club, we must fill these positions at the upcoming AGM. We were already operating at reduced capacity after being unable to fill all roles last year — and without replacements, the club simply cannot function. We are at serious risk of not meeting our constitutional requirements, which could prevent the club from continuing to operate.
We are urgently calling for volunteers to join the committee and help share the load. No prior experience is necessary — just a willingness to contribute and be part of a supportive team working for the benefit of our swimmers and families. If you’re interested, please reach out for more information about the roles and responsibilities, so you can understand the level of commitment involved.
Our Management Committee must consist of at least five and no more than eight members, all of whom must be current club members aged 18 or over and oversee the business and affairs of the club.
Management Committee Roles:

• Registrar
• General Committee Positions (up to 3 roles)
Note: All Management Committee positions require a Sub-Committee role except Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar.

• Social Events
• Bunbury Open Coordinator
• Country Pennants Coordinator
• Bunbury Open Raffle Coordinator
• Bunbury Open Catering Coordinator
• Race Secretary / Target Meet Coordinator
• Target Meet Timekeeping Roster Volunteer
• Colorado Timing System Operator
• Officials Coordinator
• Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
• Club Records
• Maintenance
• Communications: Website, Newsletter & Social Media^
• Communications: Media Promotion
• Uniforms
• Chief Recorder
• Sponsorships, Grants and Fundraising^
^ These roles can be split

Each Sub- Committee role can be filled by an individual or shared by a group — so feel free to team up with friends!
As a Committee or Sub-Committee Member, you will:
• Help your kids continue swimming with a local club
• Help promote a strong, inclusive community culture
• Support the growth and sustainability of the club
• Work under the direction of the Management Committee
